Craniosacral Therapy & Bodywork for Babies

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that supports your baby’s nervous system, development, and overall comfort. For infants, CST can help release tension from birth (especially after long labors, C-sections, or assisted deliveries), support feeding and digestion, improve sleep patterns, and promote a sense of calm and regulation. By working with the natural rhythm of the craniosacral system, CST encourages your baby’s body to relax, restore balance, and thrive in their early developmental stages.

Bodywork for Babies is a gentle approach that blends gentle manual therapies to support infants’ development, regulation, and overall wellness. It draws on craniosacral therapy, lymphatic techniques, modified visceral‑myofascial interventions, and other soft‑tissue methods refined through decades of clinical experience.

Utilizing both of these approaches, we offer support to the whole system- baby, post partum parent, and other caregivers- by training them, supporting them with direct bodywork, and offering any strategies that can be helpful in the time following birth.

Testimonials

My 6 week old son was struggling with colic and digestive issues as well as continued extension of his neck/back.  Through gentle and thorough work across multiple sessions, Amanda was able to release tension patterns and find where the issues were coming from.  He had multiple extensive bowel movements after their work and has been crying less after eating. Having her come to our home and support us in our environment made it accessible and really helped our family. Her kindness and gentle nature were easy to have around while I recover post partum, she even offered me some work that was helpful for my neck and abdomen. Thank you!

Janet, Parent

My 18 month old had craniosacral from Dr. Amanda after an awful night of sleep and six weeks of on and off colds. Dr. Amanda was able to determine that her left lymph was stuck and got it moving again, and in turn, my daughter slept beautifully for the rest of the week and her nose started running instead of being stuffy. I am a therapist and always source very high quality partners to work with; Dr. Amanda is the highest quality OT and Craniosacral therapist out there. She moves with the flow of the kid (mine was playing everywhere, eating lunch, and would rarely stay still at our home appointment).

On another note, Dr Amanda also worked with our nanny who had a migraine for a week. Immediately after the appointment, she was no longer in pain and back to her perky self.

Follow ups with Parents

During a clinic day with a colleague providing multiple therapist treatments for children and parents, a 26 month old child was brought in for treatment with his sibling and mother presenting with drooling for approximately 6 months. As the client was unable to tolerate mouthwork, Amanda performed external mouth work- supporting the clients neck, jaw and facial structures with craniosacral therapy and bodywork for babies.  The client was able to receive treatment while playing with his toys on the treatment table, and was able to release tension patterns through his body and face. The next day, the parent contacted the clinic letting them know that her child was no longer drooling.  A colleague at the clinic who is in touch with the family shared that the child was not demonstrating drooling 2 months later.

A clients 7 week old daughter has been struggling with dysregulation and continuous crying, constantly upset and seeming uncomfortable.  Amanda spent 75 minutes with her and she was so calm she fell asleep during the treatments.  Throughout the session, the infants extensive tension in her back body and her digestive system released, as well as her left shoulder and jaw. She visibly lengthened throughout her torso after the session.  At first the family wasn't sure how it was going to go, as she had a typically distressed night- however the next day, the whole family couldn't believe how calm and happy she was.  They hadn't seen her like this since she was born, and they hope it continues!
